Being the mom of 3 boys and married to a sports maniac I made the rule that the boys can't start sports until they are 5. I figure it'll occupy a good hunk of the rest of our lives so what's the rush? But I have to say I'm glad that t-ball is here and Caleb is playing. Oh, and Jordan is the head coach (I signed him up for that). He'll look back on this and laugh...one day.
We are the "MEAN GREENS". The first game went well except for the one kid on our team that tackles everyone. It adds an element of surprise and a few tears from those taken by surprise. The "tackler" didn't make it back for the second game and it went a little more smoothly. During the second game a little girl on our team was running the bases and stopped to field the ball while running from second to third. Fortunately, the other teams first baseman was preoccupied with the grass and missed the ball. Here are a few pictures of our little South Paw!
Dad helping him get his feet just right...

He's so serious, he stays in this position for the whole game...

Looking at mom!

Eli is quite the goofball during the games.

Here he is kissing his dragonfly...

And here is the dragonfly after it was loved to death...

That reminds me of a funny dragonfly story. I don't know how the boys catch these things but apparently dragonflies are not smart or they aren't fast or both (who knows). Anyway, the boys catch them all the time. So Caleb went to grab one the other day and killed it. I kind of gave him a "why in the world did you do that" look and he looks at me and says "Mom, it was my first big kill!". Jordan has brainwashed our children.

For the first time, I'm glad Lee and Jordan don't live near each other! You crack me up!!!
That would be trouble. Did y'all have a good visit?
