Ruston & Shreve, My new Kitchen, and a yummy dinner!

The boys and I took a mini trip this week. It was my first official week of summer...even though I had a school meeting today...maybe I won't really have a summer. Anywho, we went up to Ruston to see the girls. Josh and Leigh Ann are on a mission trip in NYC and my mom and mother in law were watching the kiddos. On Tuesday we went over to Shreveport to visit some friends. It was a good time. All in all their were 11 kids there b/t 6 years and 6 weeks and we were all swimming. It was crazy! On Wednesday we headed home.

Jacob and Elijah...

Double first cousins...
Princess Eli (don't tell Jordan)...
Eli and Andi are best buds...
My 3 sons...
Lainey Claire turned 2 this week so we had a little party for her at Johnny's Pizza. She loved her new bike...
Lucy enjoying a cupcake...My new kitchen...
I have been hoping and praying that my yucky old decrepit stove would die a natural (under warranty) death. But I have had no such luck, only a close call that cost us 75$. It was revived. So I could no longer put it off. I got a new stove and dishwasher to match and a new freezer for the next time I run over a deer with my car...or for the off chance that Jordan gets one while hunting:)
Here is the old stove that burns one side of all of my food...

and the new stove that does not...
And while I had the camera in the kitchen this is the first yummy meal I cooked on my new stove, Pineapple chiptole something something meatballs, courtesy of Rachel Ray. They were good. And I leave you with this...a trip back to boyland...or maybe this is just Calebland. These are "piranhas" that he caught with this "push pole" in the Amazon (aka: my fountain). Can we say one to many trips to the Bass Pro?

So glad y'all got to come up and visit! The kids had a ball and were asleep in the car with their sad little necks about breaking before we even hit pavement! Hope to see y'all all again next month! Love you.
