I've been a bit of a blog slacker lately. We have been crazy busy the past month. Here are some of the things we've been up to.
For Thanksgiving we went to Austin, Texas for a week to see Jordan's parents and brothers. We had a blast. The boys loved crawling around the yards collecting cactus and deer skulls. They rode the four wheelers to their heart contents. We are thankful for all the uncles that drive them wherever they want to go! The area where they live is beautiful. Sadly, I have no pictures of it. I'm not sure why I didn't remember I had my camera until Thanksgiving day when we drove to Jordan's uncle's house in Houston and reconnected with Ricochet. We hadn't seen him in almost 5 years. He is an enormous, moody, 11 year old parrot. We took lots of pictures of him, here he is with Caleb.

In mid-November we went to Ruston/Shreveport for a wedding...a greek wedding. It was the real deal. It was beautiful and we had a blast. We are sooo happy that Marcus is now
officially part of the family. We stayed at our sis and brothers house in Ruston and met Kaylee for the first time. She is a now 4 month old baby girl that our sister and brother are fostering. She only weighs about 8 lbs. She was a preemie. She is a cutie and the kids love her.

While we were there the boys also went on their first squirrel hunt with daddy. They got one. Caleb was thrilled...and slightly grossed out.

In early November we wrapped up our soccer season. Eli did not really take it seriously, 4 may be a little young for soccer. He played in the dirt most of the time and made new friends on the sidelines when he was supposed to be on the field. That is what life is all about for him...friends and dirt, and vacuuming...that's new:) Caleb was a little more competitive and did well. He scored a couple of goals and had a good time.

Well, at least 10 loads of unfolded laundry are calling my name. So is bed, Christmas gifts that need to be wrapped before the boys stumble into my closet, papers that need to be graded, and the cold grilled cheese I am eating for dinner. What to do first?!
