The next weekend was tons of fun because the Brown's came to see us! Jordan and Nate have close birthdays, so the trip was really a hunting trip for the boys. Alicia and I had the kids most of the time and we were on the go. On Friday we took the kiddos to a bouncy place...

On Saturday Jordan and Nate went to the the LSU/Alabama game, and Alicia and I proceeded to have one of the longest days of our lives. We drove over to New Orleans and started at the Zoo. These are the only 2 pictures I got...and they aren't great. It is very difficult to get children to look at a camera simultaneously. They are all saying "cheese" though! In the bottom picture, yes the kids are wet, and yes Micah is half naked. There is an area of the zoo called Monkey Hill, it is actually the highest point in the city of New Orleans and has a huge water garden running through it. The pictures you don't see would be Eli cannonballing fully dressed into the pond. And all of the other kids actually swimming. They were wet for the rest of the day.

The Audubon Zoo is so nice and yet so big. We were there about 3 hours and actually ran through some of it and didn't even see all of it. We then headed downtown to the Aquarium. Here is the picture from the Aquarium.
We stayed there about an hour or so and then Alicia and I walked all 6 children down into the French Quarter. We watched some people dance on the sidewalk for a while and then had to leave when it got a little racey. We had beignets at Cafe Du Monde, we were absolutely covered in powdered sugar and we were all still a little wet from the zoo. It was dark by then and we decided to call it a day. We headed back home, but not before meeting the boys at a resteraunt for dinner:) What a day!
Sunday we said goodbye to the Brown's and headed over for my mom's semi-surprise birthday party! Happy Birthday Mom! My sis and the girls were the surprise, mom didn't know they were coming. They stayed for the week.
The little wooden maze...

Thursday the 13th was Jordan's big day! He turned 26 years old. For his birthday he got a Wii! The whole fam met over here and we took him out to eat! Happy Birthday Baby!
Saturday the boys and I headed back to New Orleans to check out the Louisiana Children's Museum! We met my my mom, sisters, and the little girls (cousins) down there. The museum was a lot of fun...It made me wish I were little!
The little grocery store (It was just like a real grocery store except miniature)

The cajun cottage (Caleb is crying because he had just gotten lost, he has a real phobia about being lost)...

The Kids' Resteraunt (it had a place for the adults to sit and the kids cooked and served)

I will try to post more regularly so my blogs won't be 19 years long! Have a good day!

Jordan, I am a loser friend who forgot to call you on your birthday...Happy (5 day late) Birthday! (Don't try and deny it, I know you keep up with this more than Alissa does! :))
Sounds like a great time!! Love all the pics of the kiddos.. you all are always having a good time together!
GASP! How dare you flaunt your double Frock Candy access!!! I am so jealous. They STILL don't have their website up and running. It's driving me crazy.
We miss you guys. I look at your blog all the time!!
And it's so funny b/c I was just thinking of you too. I have now become addicted to the little shops in Prairie Grove.. Olives and Daisies... is that right? I just bought a 100 year old church ceiling tile, and there is SO much more I have my eye on!!!
