Lately...(another long one)

Well, we have been on the go as usual and I just realized that it has been nearly a month since I posted last. School has ended:) And now I REALLY get to enjoy being a teacher. No work...but the pay checks keep rolling in. We have been getting ready for a baby GIRL. She has an ever growing pile in my room. We are going to attempt to put all three boys in one room and Maci (that's her name)...Maci Claire...will have her own room. Consequently, everyone in the house is getting a new bed and a room makeover. I'm going to have a busy summer. I've started with the baby boy clothes in the attic and will go from there. We have had something just about every weekend.
Andi and Lainey (our nieces) came for a visit.

Gymnastics!

The next weekend was Mother's day weekend. I had some painting to do for a friend of my moms so we spent the weekend in Covington. The boys swam in the river and camped out in mom's new tent in her back yard. She slept out there with them. I told her she should be up for some sort of 'Grandmother Award'. We had lunch on Sunday with Mom, Nana, and Buddy. It was a fun weekend.
The weekend after that we went to Florida! I am sooooo glad the oil hasn't made it there. We met Josh, Leigh Ann, and the girls. It was a beautiful weekend. The perfect beach weather. The booms were up on the bay side, but I'm assuming just as a precaution.

The next day on the Gulf side in Perdido Key the red flags were up. The waves were ENORMOUS. I couldn't get in b/c they were too rough. Jordan had a blast with the boys though. He took them out one at a time.

We headed home on Sunday and we had graduations on Monday night and Tuesday night. Eli graduated from Pre-K and is headed to Kindergarten next year.

Caleb graduated the next night and he had his own little speaking part. It was so cute. Last year he wanted to be a chameleon hunter when he grew up and this year a biologist. He's staying on track.

We had a few firsts this week. Caleb got his finger bitten by the biggest red eared snapping turtle I have ever seen. Jordan was holding it and Caleb was trying to get it to bite some grass. He underestimated the length of its neck. He was a hysterical person but eventually was able to shake it off his finger. He got a nasty cut and asked if we could call the police to come shoot it.
The little boys have learned a new trick. Eli can carry Micah on his shoulders. It is the funniest thing I've ever seen (next to the snapping turtle episode). I'm assuming they do this to reach things they probably shouldn't be getting into. But even when they are piled up they only come up to my belly.
That is all for now; we are looking forward to our trip to Arkansas this weekend to see friends and my grandparents and then back to Florida after that (stay away oil). The boys will do summer camp at school on Tues. and Thurs. to give me some time to get things done around here.
So sorry about the forever long post!
